Sew Aussie- September

leave a comment »

Since the Ravishing in Red bee ended in June I decided to join another Australian quilting bee (crazy I know!). This means I am still involved in three bees and this is likely my max. The bees are dual purpose, they give me something to blog about 😉 and they challenge me to learn new things.

This month in Sew Aussie we were asked to make a wonky quarter log cabin from the fabric provided. The focus colors were purple and brown but I got quite a bit of orange in my package and I liked the purple /orange combo. We used this tutorial.

The owner is going to turn this into a bento box quilt, I’ve done one of these! We were also asked to do a signature block, so here are my two blocks together.
These blocks really came together quickly (which I like!). They are on the way to their owner, I hope she likes them.
